There has been a couple of Sprite 3on3 tournaments since our last update. To be honest, we have only given you overview of the first stop at the Sprite 3on3 Streetball Championship.

So, here’s a quick overview of all the tournaments this summer we have played at since the first stop.

Second tournament was held at the Lõunakeskus parking lot, just outside of Tartu. Ei, Emotsioon was once again represented by both teams in Elites and Amateurs. Elites team was this time Erik, Taavi, Marko and Juri, Amateurs roster was same old Mirko, Imre, Tormi and Siim.

Elites team had the baddest luck this time, all three games in the group stage were lost by 1 point. That meant 0 points from Tartu to the overall standings.

Amateurs team made their way to the quarterfinals, where they were taken down by Makaronirops. Our team took 2 points from Tartu to the overall standings.

Erik took also part of MIX tournament, where one difference is that a female player must be in the game for both sides all the time. First time charm gave Erik a chance to climb to the podium for the first time this summer by gaining III place with team Patuga Pooleks.

Third stop this summer was in Rakvere, Põhjakeskus’ parking lot. Once again both teams were in the competition. Amateurs, as usual, in the same lineup. Since Taavi was in training camp with his kids team, he was replaced by Kristjan Rinaldo. Also on Elites team this time were Erik, Anthony and Marko. Marko was playing his last tournament this summer since he had to leave right after the tournament to Afganistan to serve our country.

Rakvere was a happy place for both teams and individually also. In the dunk contest our guys made their way to the finals, Erik and Anthony had to compete once again only against eachother. Once again, Erik came out stronger.

Erik and Anthony took also part of the Triobet Heads Up 1on1 tournament. Anthony found out, that playing in both Elites and Amateurs and also taking part of dunk contest, 1on1 was just too much for him. With the record 0-2 it was an dissapointment for him. Meanwhile, Erik was able to make his way to the finals, where he faced a 1on1 specialist Toomas Valdre. This time our tall guy came out better and took his second individual title in one tournament.

In the Elites our guys started off hard, but had to suffer a tough loss in the semifinals, which went to overtime in the last second and after few posessions team Anneli were able to make the winning basket. In the third place game our team were no match to Pere Leib and took 4th place once again.

Amateurs team had another succesful tournament by making it to the podium for the first time this summer. Second year in a row they couldn’t make it to the finals, but third place two years in a row is an impressive achievement.
